Summer Construction Impacts

May 27, 2026

Dear Sebastopol Community Members, Parents, Students, Neighbors, and Agency Partners,

The West Sonoma County Union High School District would like to provide advance notice regarding major summer construction activities at Analy High School associated with the completion of the new Career Technical Education (CTE) building and related front of campus improvements. Construction is scheduled to begin Friday, June 5, 2026, and continue through approximately August 12, 2026.

As part of this final construction phase, the District will be closing the entire front of the Analy High School campus, including the roadway along Analy Avenue adjacent to the school frontage. While this roadway is District owned property, we recognize it functions as an important thoroughfare for nearby residents and community members, and we want to provide as much advance notice as possible regarding the impacts and alternate circulation routes.

Construction activities will include:

  • Reconstruction of the front drop off and circulation area

  • New sidewalks and accessibility improvements

  • Landscaping and irrigation improvements

  • Installation of ornamental fencing

  • Completion of exterior work associated with the new CTE building

  • Asphalt slurry sealing and restriping of parking areas later in the summer

The closure of the front roadway is anticipated to begin Friday, June 5, and remain in place through at least August 3, 2026, subject to construction progress and weather conditions.

During this closure:

  • Access patterns around the campus will temporarily change

  • Construction traffic and equipment will be present throughout the project area

  • Neighbor access routes will be impacted, particularly for residents at Fore Way and Bonnardell Ave

  • Residents who typically access through the front campus roadway will need to utilize Wallace Street and surrounding alternate routes during construction

  • The District will coordinate directly with garbage and recycling providers to ensure continued service access to affected areas

The District is also coordinating with:

  • Sebastopol Police Department

  • Sebastopol Public Works

  • Fire and emergency response agencies

  • USPS and delivery providers

  • Local garbage and recycling companies

  • Adjacent neighbors and community stakeholders

Our goal is to complete this work safely and as efficiently as possible while minimizing impacts to the surrounding neighborhood. We understand this temporary closure will create inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate the patience and cooperation of our neighbors and the greater Sebastopol community as we complete these important campus improvements.

These projects represent a significant investment in student safety, accessibility, and modernized educational facilities for the community.
