On Tuesday, October 17, 16 students visited Petaluma High School to hear Accountable author Dashka Slater speak about her new book. Slater gave a presentation about a racist social media blow-up Albany High experienced back in 2017 and what the fallout was for the entire school.
Mrs. McClelland received the invite through her strong connection to Copperfield's Books in Petaluma. She extended the invite to the Analy Book Club and Ethnic Studies Class and had a sign-up sheet at the library so students could self-select to attend the field trip.
