Dear West Sonoma County Union High School District Community,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope the summer has treated you well. We are so excited to welcome our students back this Wednesday, August 13th. As we begin a new year together, I want to share my gratitude for the incredible work of our teachers, staff, and administrators across our district. I also want to extend a special thank you to our parents and greater community. The heart of our district is our people. Your support, dedication, belief, and care make West Sonoma County a place where students can truly thrive.
Across our district, we have much to celebrate. Analy High School students are maintaining the tradition of achieving at high levels, with graduation rates well above the state average, robust participation in advanced placement (AP) courses, career and technical education (CTE) pathway programs, dual enrollment programs, and record-setting AP results. In 2025, 328 students took a combined 703 AP exams, and 252 students (76.83%) scored a 3 or higher, the highest success rate in the past five years. More than 770 students participated in Career Technical Education last year, with 44.4% completing a full pathway and graduating with valuable, career-ready skills.
Analy offers twelve CTE pathways that span across 7 industry sectors as recognized by the California Department of Education. Our College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) partnership with Santa Rosa Junior College is expanding, now offering both Agriculture and Sports Medicine courses aligned to the respective pathway program, allowing students to earn both high school and college credit on our campus while preparing for high-demand careers.
Laguna High School received a six-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 2024, and Analy received a full six-year accreditation in 2025. This achievement is a direct testament to our amazing staff and their commitment to providing high-quality educational services to all students.
Laguna staff remain committed to providing a small and supportive school community in a flexible environment offering an accelerated credit recovery program, internship and career exploration opportunities, smaller class sizes, and personalized learning for all students.
The Academy of Innovative Arts (AIA) at the El Molino Campus is welcoming its inaugural freshman class, offering a collaborative, integrated project-based learning environment that blends core academics with hands-on experiences, real-world problem-solving, and 21st-century technology, including AI readiness. Sharing the El Molino Campus with Laguna High School, the two schools together exemplify our community school model—bringing creative educational opportunities, integrated support services, family engagement, and extended learning opportunities to our students.
West County iAcademy will continue to offer a fully remote, yet personalized high school experience, with course offerings that allow students to earn an Analy or Laguna diploma while receiving direct 1:1 support from a full-time independent study teacher.
Analy, Laguna, AIA, and iAcademy students will be welcomed and supported each day with a comprehensive Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This includes our core educational program at all sites as well as wraparound services provided by 10,000 Degrees, Keeping Kids in School (KKIS), Crisis Assessment, Prevention, and Education (CAPE), and West County Health Centers, which operates a health hub on both the Analy and El Molino campuses.
The West Sonoma County Consortium, serving grades TK-8, is also growing. This year, we’ve added two new classrooms each at the Harmony Union and Guerneville campuses, enhancing capacity alongside our other host sites at Forestville Union, Twin Hills, and Sebastopol Union. These expansions will support specialized programming and the ability to meet the needs of more special education students, prioritizing their education within their local communities.
Our facilities have seen exciting improvements this summer, thanks to our community supporters of our Measure A Bond. Notable projects include the new CTE Building at Analy and a complete revitalization of the El Molino Campus. Please be patient with us as available parking will be impacted at Analy High School throughout the year due to construction.
As we look ahead, I am filled with optimism for what we will accomplish together. We have the momentum of academic success, the excitement of expanded programs and graduation paths, as well as the strength of a collaborative school community. Thank you for the care you bring to our students every day. Together, we will ensure that 2025–2026 is another year of growth, opportunity, and continued success.
Here’s to an amazing and inspiring school year for us all.
Sincerely,
Chris Meredith
Superintendent
