One year after the uprising at the Stonewall Inn, a tradition of marches commemorating the event began. Since then, Pride has expanded to celebrate more identities while still honoring the history of resistance. Much has changed since 1969, but LGBTQIA+ folks continue to protect and care for those in their community.
