Timeline for General Consolidated Election
Candidates are responsible for cost incurred in publishing a Statement of Qualifications if such a statement is desired. Each candidate will pay the cost of the publication before the statement is printed in the voter pamphlet portion of the sample ballot. The estimated costs for Statement of Qualifications are based on the printer’s price list for the 2020 General Election. Please refer to the Statements of Qualifications Costs Payment Procedure document listed. Payments for statements are to be made to the WSCUHSD. Following the election, the district will be billed for all costs incurred in conducting the district’s election. Statements shall not exceed 200 words, based on the standard word count. The payment range is determined by whether the candidate is requesting a statement be printed in English only or in English & Spanish. The candidate should write a check “not to exceed” the highest in the range.
Due to the COVID-19 shelter in place order, our district office is currently closed. Please call Karen Lamb, WSCUHSD Administrative Assistant, at (707) 824-6412 to schedule an appointment. The appointment will be held at the district office, 462 Johnson Street, Sebastopol to accept your payment for the statement and issue a receipt, which must be presented at the time the Statement of Qualifications is filed with the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters.
After the close of nominations, when the exact number of candidates in our jurisdiction have been determined, the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters’ Accounting Division will contact the West Sonoma County Union High School District with the exact cost of the statement.
